Posters reiterate appeal for strike during Modi’s IIOJK visit tomorrow

Srinagar, March 06 (KMS): Posters have appeared in Srinagar and other parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir reiterating appeal to the Kashmiri people to observe shutdown on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Srinagar on Thursday (tomorrow).

The posters displayed by APHC and other Hurriyet parties including Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Jammu Kashmir Peoples Resistance Party, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Movement and others read ‘Modi is killer of Muslims and he has unleashed a killing spree in IIOJK’.

The posters maintain that Modi’s Hindutva regime has snatched rights of the Kashmiri people including Articles 370 and 35-A down the barrel of a gun. They said that Modi’s nefarious designs in Kashmir and Indian troops’ barbarities against the Kashmiri people had turned IIOJK into hell. The posters also read, “Modi is a terrorist and plans to commit genocide of Kashmiris”, “Modi a Hindutva ideological BJP leader has turnished the Kashmiri identity and destroyed the political, religious and social parties and institutions”.

The posters further said the Hindutva BJP government of India after changing the state subject laws has given lakhs of domiciles to non-Kashmiri people including Indian armed forces and Indian business community members, adding this is meant to change the demography of Kashmir by permanently settling Indian Hindus in the territory. “BJP is grossly violating the Kashmiris’ basic rights including their inalienable right to self-determination,” the posters said.

The posters while demanding the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions have reaffirmed that the Kashmiris’ pledge to take the struggle for attaining right to self-determination to its logical conclusion, come what may.
