Another Indian farmer dies during protest; 7th death in less than month
Patiala: Another Indian farmer participating in protests died in the Patiala area of Punjab state, India, raising the death toll among farmers to seven in less than one month.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, the deceased, identified as Baldev Singh, was undergoing treatment at Rajindra Hospital in Patiala city for breathing issues.
Seven farmers have lost their lives in the past 26 days of the ongoing protests against the BJP’s anti-farmer policies and in demand of their rights.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident on the Rewari-Delhi road near Masani village in Haryana, six individuals were killed and seven others injured in a road accident involving two cars.
