Yateem Foundation hosts ‘Welcome Ramadan’ program
Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Yateem Foundation (JKYF) held a “Welcome Ramadhan” program at Baitul Hilal, its Central Headquarters in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media service, the event aimed to sensitize society about the urgent need to support orphans, widows and the needy, regardless of caste, color, creed, region, or religion.
During the program titled “Together with Orphans, Widows & Needy,” former Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqui emphasized the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need.
He stressed the need for creating a democratic ecosystem within social service organizations to ensure the long-term sustainability of human and monetary resources.
The event served as a platform to advocate for collective action in addressing the needs of marginalized segments of society, particularly orphans, widows, and individuals facing economic hardship. By promoting inclusivity and compassion, the JKYF sought to galvanize support for its mission of providing aid and support to those most in need during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
