Jammu: The President of Indian National Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Vikar Rasool Wani, has said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to hijack democracy in the country by using all foul means against the opposition which is very dangerous for the future of the democratic system.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Vikar Rasool Wani addressing a meeting of party functionaries of Jammu district said the future of democracy in India is in danger under the BJP regime as politics of vendetta is at its peak.

He lamented that the top opposition leaders were being implicated in false cases and were being jailed on the eve of elections and the main opposition party Congress had been financially crippled by the illegal seizure of accounts.

He said the ruling party has collected huge funds through the illegal electoral bond scheme which is unconstitutional now as per Supreme Court judgment. He termed it as the biggest corruption scandal of the country under the BJP regime and said the agencies were used to collect money through donations while Congress is being snatched of its legitimate funds and resources.

Party leader Raman Bhalla on the occasion lashed out at BJP for the sufferings of the people as he said Jammu region suffered the most under ten years of BJP regime. He said Dogras lost their identity and rights to land, jobs, trade and resources which are being taken over by outside people leaving locals high and dry.
