Massive avalanche hits IIOJK’s Sonamarg
Srinagar: A massive avalanche struck the Hung area of Sonamarg in the Ganderbal district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, today, resulting in the burial of at least two vehicles.
According to Kashmir Media Service, upon receiving directives from the Senior Superintendent of Police of Ganderbal, a police team promptly reached the site and successfully rescued the passengers in vehicles trapped under the avalanche.
The incident prompted swift action from various authorities, including the Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local residents and other agencies, to conduct rescue operations.
