Woman beaten black and blue, paraded naked in Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: A 30-year-old woman of the Scheduled Caste community was humiliated by stripping her naked in public in Madhya Pradesh state in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the woman of the Scheduled Caste community was humiliated and naked by the same caste in Bachhora, a medium-size village located in Pohri Tehsil of Shivpuri district of the state.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sunil Mehta said four women forcibly pulled the victim out of her house, beat her up and humiliated her by stripping her naked in public at Bachhora village of Gautampura police station area. A video of the incident has gone viral. The physical humiliation and the viral video have left the victim traumatised. She has sought refuge at her parents’ home.
The accused women dragged the victim out of her house and stripped her naked. She kept pleading for mercy, but the accused did not relent and openly stripped her by tearing her clothes, media reports quoted an eyewitness as saying. They also took her to some distance on the common road of the village in the same condition.
The Superintendent of Police said a case has been registered against the four women, while assuring that those filming the incident will also face legal consequences.
