IIOJK authorities seize another civilian’s property in Rajouri

Jammu: New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency has seized property of a Kashmiri man in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the SIA in a statement issued in Jammu said that it attached the property of one, namely, Abdul Hameed Khan of Panjgrain village in Manjakote Tehsin of the district.

The SIA said it attached the immovable property amounting to lakhs of rupees under Khasra No. 167 situated at the village under draconian law Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

In order to justify the arbitrary action, the SIA claimed that Khan along with others was actively involved in pro-freedom activities in the district.

Notably, after August 2019, when the Modi government illegally abrogated IIOJK’s special status, the occupation authorities have devised a policy of snatching the Kashmiris’ properties on the simple charge that the owners support pro-freedom activities in the territory.
