Fire ravages Darul Uloom and residential house in IIOJK

Srinagar: A prominent Darul Uloom in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and a nearby residential house were damaged in a fire that broke out in Islamabad town of South Kashmir on Sunday evening.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an official reported that the fire originated from a residential house belonging to Fayaz Ahmad Kadoo in old Eidgah and quickly spread to the main building of Idara Tehqeqaat-e-Islamia, a renowned religious seminary in Islamabad town.

Local residents swiftly responded to the incident to extinguish the flames. Despite their efforts, the fire caused significant damage to both the residential house and the main building of Idara Tehqeqat-e-Islami, resulting in the loss of hundreds of Islamic books.

Inquiries into the incident are underway, stated the official.
