Restrictions further tightened ahead of vote counting in IIOJK
Srinagar: As Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir prepares for the counting of votes following the recent sham assembly elections, authorities have imposed strict restrictions in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) PK Pole confirmed that “comprehensive arrangements” have been finalized for the counting process scheduled for October 8.
“We have ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place for the October 8 vote counting. A robust three-tier security arrangement will be deployed,” stated CEO PK Pole.
Voting for the staged assembly elections took place in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1.
