Congress will not take oath until statehood is restored to IIOJK: GA Mir
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Congress leader Ghulam Ahmed Mir has reaffirmed the party’s firm stance on restoring statehood to the territory, declaring that the Congress will not take the oath of office until full statehood is reinstated.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a media interview, Mir emphasized that this position is non-negotiable and reflects the party’s dedication to the rights of the people of IIOJK.
“We did not enter this election for power but to restore the rights of the people…. our main priority is the restoration of statehood,” he stated.
Furthermore, the IIOJK Congress leader clarified that while the party may not take the oath immediately, it remains an integral part of the administration. “We are fully aligned with our allies in the India bloc and are committed to working together to achieve our collective goals,” he affirmed.
