US affirms to discuss extradition of Pannu murder conspirator with India: Mathew
Washington: The United States has revealed that the prominent leader of the Khalistan movement and Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) Gurptwant Singh Pannu, is in contact with the Indian government to investigate the accused involved in the murder of Pannu.
According to Kashmir Media Service, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, in his press briefing, in response to a question about the conspiracy to kill Gurptwant Singh Pannu and the arrest of the accused, said those two weeks ago, the Indian delegation had come to America for investigation.
The delegation gave a detailed briefing to the American authorities and the United States insisted on the arrest and accountability of the accused. He denied the news about the expulsion of any Indian diplomat from the United States.
Matthew Miller said that Canada and India America has nothing to do with the tension between them. Both the countries are expelling each other’s diplomats. This is their mutual issue.
On the question of bringing Vikas Yadav, the main suspect in the conspiracy to murder of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, to America, he said that he will talk to India about this can be done. However, the final decision will be made by the US Department of Justice.
The spokesperson of the US State Department said that Canada has shared some information with the US based on the investigation related to the conspiracy to kill Gurptwant Singh Pannu. It should be noted that Gruptwant Singh Pannu has US and Canadian citizenship.
