AAC holds condolence meeting in Srinagar for Ahmad Shah
Srinagar: The Mirwaiz family grieved over the passing away of Mirwaiz Mohammad Ahmad Shah, son of renowned Islamic scholar Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah (RA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Mohammad Ahmad passed away last night in Islamabad, following a brief illness. His absentia funeral prayers will be held on Monday, November 4, at 1:00 pm at Jamia Masjid , Srinagar.
The bereaved family, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, will receive condolences at Mirwaiz Manzil in Nigeen. The local community has expressed deep sadness over the loss of this respected figure, who held a revered place in Kashmir’s religious and cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) convened a condolence meeting at Mirwaiz Manzil in Srinagar, to honor the memory of Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Ahmad Shah
AAC members paid tribute to his lifelong dedication to public service and Islamic teachings, particularly his notable work “Tafsir Bayaan al-Furqan,” which was broadcast on radio, reaching countless homes. Condolences were extended to the Mirwaiz family, including AAC head Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Shah’s son, Moulvi Muhammad Yahya. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will receive condolences at Mirwaiz Manzil from tomorrow 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral prayer in absentia at 1:00 p.m. in Jama Masjid’s courtyard.
