Hurriyat leaders condole death of Munawar Ganaie in IIOJK

Srinagar: Hurriyat leaders have condoled the death of Munawar Ahmed Ganie, father of two martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, Hurriyat leaders, including Imtiaz Ahmad Reshi, Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Shaikh Imtiyaz Ahmed, Najeeb-ur-Rehman and Abdul Rashid, visited the residence of senior Kashmiri freedom leader Nazir Ahmad Kumar in Chanapora, Srinagar, and condoled the death of Munawar Ahmed Ganie.

During the visit, the leaders expressed profound sorrow and solidarity with the bereaved family and paid tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices made by Munawar Ahmed Ganie and his sons.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting families who have endured immense pain and loss due to the ongoing conflict in the territory. They also highlighted the importance of unity among all segments of society to achieve the shared goal of freedom from oppression.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Ghulam Nabi War in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 and is committing serious human rights violations in the region to suppress the voice of Kashmiris for freedom.

He said the world celebrates International Human Rights Day on December 10 every year, but India, which claims to be the world’s largest democratic country, is trampling on democratic principles in the occupied territory. He said that the international community should hold India accountable for the serious crimes against humanity being committed in the occupied territory.
