Highlighting Kashmiris’ struggle at global level through modern means of media stressed
Rawalpindi: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell Secretary, Mirza Wajahat Rashid Baig, has said that in the fast-paced era of social media, modern means of media, are being used to highlight the struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at the global level and to expose India’s state terrorism.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirza Wajahat Rashid Baig addressing a meeting of directors/officers at Kashmir Center in Rawalpindi urged the Kashmir Policy Research Institute youth to start programs on an emergency basis to bring the Indian brutality and human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir to the world.
He said that the Kashmir Policy Research Institute has started various internship programs for the youth on the historical and geographical importance of the Kashmir issue, which is a very good initiative. . He said that new and innovative strategies are being formulated to bring Indian atrocities before the world and to gain the attention of the international community.
He said seminars, conferences and workshops regarding the Kashmir issue have been started in all universities of Azad Kashmir, while social media workshops and training are also being organized in this regard so that the youth can fully use this tool to exercise their birthright.
Mirza Wajahat Rashid Baig said after the termination of the special status of Occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019, the responsibilities of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell had increased. In this regard, its strategy was formulated through crash programs organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell, under which all departments were given tasks on an emergency basis.
He said that along with media monitoring, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell The social media unit is working 24 hours a day. Speech contests and right self-determination awareness campaigns are also going on at university colleges and schools organized by Liberation Cell. Wajahat Rasheed Baig said that with the programs organized by Liberation Cell, the young generation is getting more and more aware of the issue of Kashmir.
He said all resources will be used to highlight the freedom movement at the national and international level. He said that the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell was being developed on modern lines, adding that an international Kashmir seminar will be organized by Kashmir Policy Research Institute on December 10, International Human Rights Day. He said scholars from different countries will be invited to inform the international community about Indian atrocities on Kashmiris and against human rights.
