Latif Akber thanks Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmir cause
Muzaffarabad: The Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Chaudhary Latif Akber, expressed deep gratitude for Pakistan’s longstanding and unwavering support for the Kashmir cause.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Latif Akber, in a meeting with the delegation of Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) in Muzaffarabad today, urged young parliamentarians to actively raise the Kashmir issue across all platforms, including Pakistan’s National Assembly.
The delegation, led by Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, President of the YPF and Member of the National Assembly (MNA), included Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry, as well as MNAs Abdul Qadir Gilani, Raja Osama Ashfaq, Kiran Dar, and Dr. Shaista Jadoon.
Chaudhary Latif Akber acknowledged that every successive government in Pakistan, has consistently championed the right to self-determination for the people of IIOJK.
He highlighted that Pakistan’s commitment to this cause has been steadfast over the decades, with leaders continuously advocating for Kashmiris on various international platforms.
This consistent support, Akber noted, has been a source of hope and resilience for Kashmiris striving for their rights and has underscored Pakistan’s role as a key ally in the region’s pursuit of peace and justice.
The YPF delegation also received a briefing on the ongoing human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, along with an overview of Azad Kashmir’s geographical situation.
