Body of Dalit woman found in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: The dead body of a young Dalit woman was found in the BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the naked body of the woman was discovered near the Kanjara River bridge in the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh.
The victim’s family has named Prashant Yadav of her murder, saying that there are political motives behind the crime. They have also said that the woman was raped before being killed.
Senior police officer Vinod Kumar confirmed that the 23-year-old woman went missing from Karhal the previous night. He added that her body was found today.
Her father has filed a case against two suspects, Prashant Yadav and Mohan Katheria, both of whom have been arrested, according to the police official.
