Resolution of Kashmir, Palestine disputes essential for global peace: Ayaz Sadiq
Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has emphasized that durable global peace cannot be achieved without resolving the long-standing disputes of Kashmir and Palestine.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking during a meeting with Himesh Falconer, Minister/Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom, and a UK parliamentary delegation, Ayaz Sadiq expressed grave concern over the ongoing human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine. He stressed that addressing these issues is crucial for ensuring regional stability and peace.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s historic and longstanding ties with the United Kingdom, noting that strengthening parliamentary and economic cooperation would further enhance bilateral relations.
The Speaker mentioned that Pakistan has rendered immense sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism and it has always strived for regional peace.
The UK parliamentary delegation, which met with the Speaker, included British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott, Personal Assistant to the Minister Calum Matthews, Political Counsellor Zoe Ware, Deputy Political Counsellor Mark Bailey, and Principal Political Adviser to the High Commissioner Saqib Riaz.
