Pakistan will observe Kashmir Solidarity Day with full zeal: Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

Islamabad: Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, the Chief Whip of the ruling coalition in the National Assembly and a member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has announced that Pakistan will observe February 5, Kashmir Solidarity Day, with great determination and enthusiasm.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry while addressing a press conference in Islamabad emphasized that every Pakistani, including men, women, and children, stands in solidarity with the Kashmiri struggle for freedom. He highlighted Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to raising its voice against the Indian atrocities on Kashmiris at every international forum, continuing political, moral, and diplomatic support for their right to self-determination.

He further stated that Kashmiris hold a special place in the hearts of every Pakistani, and the Kashmir Solidarity Day would be celebrated with great fervor to express Pakistan’s political and diplomatic support for their just struggle. “The Kashmir freedom movement is a continuation of Pakistan’s own struggle for independence,” Dr. Chaudhry added.

He also mentioned that the day will be observed with a series of events across Pakistan. A walk will be organized on Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, with participation from people of all walks of life. Important locations in the capital will display banners highlighting the atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and occupied Kashmir. Seminars will be held in Islamabad and provincial capitals, while Pakistani missions abroad will also hold events to shed light on the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle and the violations they face. Additionally, human chains will be formed on five bridges connecting Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to symbolize solidarity.

Meanwhile, in Balochistan, the Minister for Planning and Development, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Baloch, and Provincial Assembly member Mir Zabad Ali Reki, during a media interaction, called on the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. They reaffirmed that the Kashmir issue must be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. They reiterated that the Pakistani people would continue their support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and freedom, adding that the people of Balochistan value the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom.
