Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir: Syed Fakhar Imam

Multan: Former Speaker of the National Assembly and former Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, Syed Fakhar Imam, stated that Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein and that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Fakhar Imam made these remarks during a Kashmir conference jointly organized by the Young Pakistanis Organization, the Ideology of Pakistan Forum Multan, the Department of Human Nutrition at the Faculty of Food Sciences and Nutrition, and the BZU Gillani Law College at Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Syed Fakhar Imam emphasized that India is committing large-scale human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which have no parallel in the world. He added that India has continuously tried to put the Kashmir issue on the back burner and has avoided resolving it despite three wars between India and Pakistan. He recalled that India itself brought the Kashmir issue to the United Nations, where the international body passed several resolutions recognizing Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory and giving the Kashmiri people the right to decide their future.

Syed Fakhar Imam further stressed that the Kashmiri people must be given the right to self-determination, and Pakistan will always support their struggle for freedom. During the seminar, speakers including Mian Mohammad Majid, Professor Abdul Majid Watto, and Dr. Anila Hameed pointed out that the Kashmiri people have been enduring Indian oppression for 77 years, and it is time they are granted freedom and autonomy.

Other notable attendees included Associate Professor Dr. Khurram Afzal, Dr. Adnan Amjad, Dr. Raheel, Dr. Amir Riaz, Dr. Basset Ramzan, Dr. Sameem Javed, Dr. Mohammad Bilal, and social leaders Rashid Abbas Khan, Mohammad Ashraf Qureshi, and Dr. Riaz Hussain.
