Mirwaiz condemns dismissal of Kashmiri employees, seizure of Islamic books in IIOJK
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the termination of Kashmiri employees from their jobs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a post on X termed the move of the occupation administration to dismiss more Kashmiri employees as highly authoritarian, saying it seems that the occupying rulers want to gradually remove all Kashmiris from government jobs and make them unemployed.
He said it is the duty of the elected representatives to immediately raise this issue with the authorities concerned as promised in their manifesto and stop this act of harassment.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the crackdown on Islamic literature and seizure of Islamic books from shops is highly condemnable and ridiculous. He added that at a time when all kinds of information are easily available through virtual sources, confiscating books and guarding thought is completely meaningless.
