Fire damages several shops in Gandarbal
Srinagar: An early morning blaze erupted at main market in Kangan area of Gandarbal district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, damaging over four shops including hotel.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the blaze began in the wee hours of Wednesday morning thus damaging four structures including hotel Sindh Hill. However no casualties or serious injuries have been reported.
“We heard a loud crackling sound and saw smoke rising from one of the shop. It all happened so fast,” said Mashooq Ahmad, Kangan resident . “The fire spread before anyone could do much and damaged the four structures along with hotel.” he added.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
