Seven fire incidents reported across Kashmir in 24 hours

Srinagar: At least seven fire incidents were reported in different parts of the Kashmir Valley in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incidents occurred between 10 am on December 22 and 10 am on December 23 in Srinagar, Bandipora, Kupwara, Kulgam, and Ganderbal districts.
In Srinagar, a fire broke out in a garbage compound at Chanapora, quickly extinguished by personnel. Another incident in Fateh Kadal damaged the attic of a residential house, though adjoining structures were spared. In Bandipora’s Noor Colony, one residential house was affected, while Kupwara district witnessed two separate fires: one at the 168 MH Army Camp, damaging two residential quarters, and another at Manchattir in Chowkibal, affecting two houses.
Elsewhere, a residential house in Nadimarg, Kulgam, was damaged, and in Ganderbal’s Dikbagh area of Nunner, a Chinar tree caught fire and was subsequently extinguished. Officials said coordinated efforts prevented further losses.
