Imam Hussain (RA) refused to bow before oppression: Mirwaiz
Srinagar: Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Karbala, especially Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), for his historic sacrifice to safeguard Islam’s core principles.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Imam Hussain (RA) refused to bow before oppression, setting an eternal example for all who stand for truth and justice. His sacrifice in Karbala remains a shining chapter in Islamic and human history.
Continuing the centuries-old tradition of the Mirwaizeen, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will deliver a sermon on Youm-e-Ashoora at Alam Sahib Narwara Srinagar, highlighting its virtues and the philosophy of Karbala, and lead collective prayers.
Special prayers will be held to seek rain and an end to the unprecedented heat wave and prolonged dry spell.
