APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi said the rally had sent a strong message to the world that the Kashmir dispute must be resolved in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.
He lauded COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir for reaffirming Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s statement that “Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein,” and for declaring that Pakistan is ready to fight not just three but even ten wars if necessary to support the Kashmiri people.
Safi emphasized that wars are not won by numbers but by faith, unity, and resolve, and praised the unity shown by Pakistanis across political and religious lines in support of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a commemorative rally was also held in Lahore under the banner of Kashmir Center Lahore, where speakers remembered Burhan Wani as a revolutionary youth icon who gave the Kashmir freedom movement a new spirit and direction.
Speakers included PPP’s Ghulam Abbas Mir, former parliamentary secretary Dr. Farzana Nazir, Hurriyat leader Engineer Mushtaq Mehmood, Inam-ul-Hassan, Farooq Azad, Qazi Anwar, and Professor Nazar Bhinder, among others.
