APHC-AJK delegation briefs PMLN leader Saad Rafique on grim situation in IOJK

Invite him to join July 19 Accession to Pakistan Day rally in Lahore

Lahore: A delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, briefed senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on the latest grim situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK), highlighting the Indian government’s repressive measures, continued human rights violations, and the unyielding spirit and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation was led by Convener APHC-AJK Ghulam Muhammad Safi, also invited him to attend a grand public rally and gathering scheduled for July 19 in connection with Accession to Pakistan Day.

The delegation emphasized that the historic resolution of July 19, 1947, declaring Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan, remains the foundational basis for the Kashmiri people’s ongoing struggle for freedom. They said that Accession to Pakistan Day symbolizes the unwavering commitment of the Kashmiri people to their rightful association with Pakistan.

The Hurriyat leaders informed Khawaja Saad Rafique that a major public rally and gathering will be held in Lahore on this occasion to reaffirm the bond between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan. Accepting the invitation, Khawaja Saad Rafique assured that PML-N leadership, workers, and a large number of citizens would actively participate in the historic event. He reiterated that the PML-N’s clear and consistent stance is that the struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination is a core part of Pakistan’s ideological and political framework.

The APHC delegation included Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Zahid Safi, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Abdul Hameed Lone, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Muhammad Shafi Dar, and others.

Meanwhile, the APHC delegation also met with the chief of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), Allama Saad Hussain Rizvi, in Lahore and invited him to join the July 19 Accession to Pakistan Day rally.
