Indian judiciary has become tool to advance Modi govt’s Hindutva agenda

New Delhi: The judiciary in India has also become a tool to advance the Modi government’s Hindutva agenda as bail is granted in Indian courts on the condition of raising the slogan “Jai Hind”.

According to Kashmir Media Service, oppressed Muslims are continuously being targeted by ideological prejudice and state oppression during the Modi government’s era.

Under Modi’s Hindutva agenda, Muslims are not only facing injustice but also forced loyalty and intellectual slavery. Under Modi’s rule, the judiciary, media and law have become weapons of fascist politics, where justice, truth and the constitution have been completely banned.

An Assam court has imposed a condition on a Muslim citizen to upload a video of himself chanting Jai Hind three times a day while granting bail.

According to the Indian newspaper The Wire, Arifur Rahman has been instructed to record a Hindutva slogan and share it on social media. This court order is an attempt to enforce ideological loyalty through legal coercion. The real purpose of bail is to keep the accused free until the trial is over, not to punish him. The condition of chanting Jai Hind has forced a person to prove his loyalty, whom the court has not yet convicted.

According to The Wire, this judicial attitude is against the basic principles of justice. Such conditions in the Indian judiciary are seriously endangering judicial impartiality.

It is known that in the past, Indian courts have made a mockery of justice by imposing conditions such as donating to the PM Cares Fund or installing TVs in hospitals. This Assam court order is a dangerous example, which makes the judiciary a tool of the Modi government’s political narrative.

Such judicial decisions are a clear violation of the principles of constitutional freedom and justice. This misuse of judicial powers reinforces the idea of targeting minorities, especially Muslims. Under Modi’s rule, minorities, especially Muslims, are deprived of justice, the judiciary is a weapon of Hindutva loyalty, constitutional freedom has become a mere pretense.
