Muslim student brutally beaten to death by Hindutva goons in Maharashtra
Mumbai: In a horrifying display of communal violence, Hindutva goons brutally beat a 20-year-old Muslim student to death in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the tragic incident occurred on Tuesday. The victim identified as Suleman Khan was talking to a girl from a different community near his home in a village of Jamner taluka when Hindu extremists surrounded him and attacked him viciously. When his family protested against the savage assault, they too were attacked. Suleman was beaten so severely that he succumbed to his injuries. The attack unfolded in front of his loved ones, leaving the entire family shattered.
Suleman’s family, demanding swift justice and the arrest of all those responsible, expressed deep anguish over the police pressuring them to perform Suleman’s last rites immediately, rather than arresting the accused first. This has caused further distress to the grieving family.
Local residents are living in fear following the incident. Social activists and human rights organisations have voiced their concerns, calling this a serious failure of law and order and urging the administration to take strict action against the perpetrators.
This tragic incident raises serious questions about the safety of Muslims, especially young men like Suleman who face violence simply for social interaction beyond community lines.
