Jammu: A renowned bridge in Jammu district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir collapsed today due to heavy flooding in the Tawi River.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Tawi Bridge gave way after the river witnessed strong floods following incessant rains. Authorities had earlier suspended heavy traffic on the bridge; however, small vehicles were still plying on it when the collapse occurred.
At least three vehicles were reported to have been swept away in the incident, though no loss of life has been confirmed so far.
