Seminar, rallies taken out in AJK to pay tributes to iconic leader Syed Ali Gilani
Muzaffarabad: APHC-AJK chapter and other parties organized a seminar and held rallies in different areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, today, to pay tributes to veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani on his fourth martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the speakers including AJK Speaker Choudhary Latief Akbar, Farooq Haider, former Chief Justice Manzoor Gilani, Chaudhry Zia, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Syed Gulshan and others addressing the seminar highlighted the supreme sacrifices and indomitable role of the towering resistance leader, Syed Ali Gilani. They said that the lifelong struggle of the martyred leader for the cause of Kashmir would be remembered for a long time in the annals of Kashmir history.
They said Syed Ali Gilani was the man who remained steadfast to his ideals despite enduring trials and tribulations throughout his life. “His devotion, dedication and unwavering commitment to the noble cause of freedom will continue to inspire incoming generations of Kashmiris,” they added.
On this occasion, students made a pledge to spread Gilani’s message to every nook and corner of Pakistan and to an international audience through their writings.
Meanwhile, mammoth rallies were taken out in Muzaffarabad and other areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to pay tribute to the icon of Kashmir’s resistance movement, Syed Ali Gilani, on his fourth martyrdom anniversary.
AJK Speaker Choudhary Latief Akbar, Hurriyat leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Uzair Ahmed Gazali, Syed Gulshan, Mushtaqul Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Showket Javed Mir, Syed Murtaza Ali Gilani, Advocate Muhammad Noorullah Qureshi and others led a rally at Burhan Wani Chowk in Muzaffarabad. Apart from various political, religious and social organizations, a large number of student wings and youth participated in the rally.
On the occasion, the speakers paid homage to Syed Ali Gilani for his sacrifices for the freedom movement. They said that Syed Ali Gilani remained steadfast like a rock on the principled and historical stance on the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
They said that Syed Ali Gilani was a symbol of steadfastness against oppression and tyranny who dedicated his life to the Kashmir freedom struggle.
The participants of the rally raised high-pitched slogans in favour of Syed Ali Gilani and freedom, and against India.
A rally was also organized in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement to pay glowing tributes to the father of the Kashmiri resistance and veteran leader of the freedom movement, Syed Ali Gilani. The rally was led by Hurriyat leader and Vice Chairman of Pir Panjal Freedom Movement, Qazi Imran, along with other leaders. On the occasion, speakers said that Syed Ali Gilani devoted his entire life to the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom and stood firm against Indian oppression until his last breath. They vowed to continue his mission until Jammu and Kashmir is liberated from Indian occupation.
