Lt Governor’s administration seizes properties of two more Kashmiris in IIOJK

Srinagar: The administration headed by New Delhi-imposed Lieutenant Governor in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir of India has confiscated the properties of two more Kashmiris in Baramulla district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the authorities seized three kanals and 15 marlas land of Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh, resident of Tantraypora Palhallan, Baramulla district and four kanals and 17 Marlas land of Mohammad Rafiq Tantray, resident of Tantraypora Palhallan, Baramulla district, under the black law of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The Indian police said the seized properties are not allowed to be sold, transferred or rented out and strict action will be taken against the violators.

The authorities have intensified the process of confiscating houses, lands and other properties of Kashmiris after August 5, 2019, when the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir was abolished to change the population ratio in the territory.
