Curbs continue on 4th day in IIOJK’s Doda district

Jammu: Curbs continued on 4th day in Doda district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir after the arrest of Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Meraj Malik.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Bharatiya Janata Party regime has suspended Internet services and mobile connectivity in Bhalesa, Kahara, and Chilli Pingal areas.

Indian forces have arrested at least eight people, including women, during the protest against the arrest of MLA under black law.

Indian paramilitary forces, including SSB, CRPF, CISF and police personnel, have been deployed in strength at multiple locations. The officials have ordered the closure of schools across Doda till September 14 to stop protests against the Indian regime and its LG in the territory.

Locals complain of acute shortage of ration, drinking water, and other essential commodities. Electricity supply has also remained disrupted for the last three days in Thathri, Gandoh Bhalessa, Chilli Pingal, and Kahara.

The restrictions and outages have left locals distressed as normal life continues to remain paralyzed in the district.
