Indian forces kill two tribal leaders in Chhattisgarh

Narayanpur: Indian forces killed two tribal leaders in the violence-hit Chhattisgarh state of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces during a search operation gunned down two leaders identified as Raju Dada alias Katta Ramachandra Reddy (63) and Kosa Dada alias Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy (67) in the forests of Abhujmaad in Narayanpur district, adjoining Maharashtra.

Both victims were reportedly Central Committee members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist).

Raju Dada, also known by aliases Gudsa Usendi, Vijay and Vikalp, had been active for 40 years and was a member of the Maoist Central Committee, the highest decision-making body of the organisation.

Kosa Dada, also known as Gopanna and Buchanna, was also a Central Committee member and considered a key strategist of the party.

Their killing has further reduced the CPI (Maoist) Central Committee to 10 members, Indian police officials claimed.

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has long demanded an end to Indian hegemony and systemic injustices faced by Dalits and Adivasis in the country.
