India will be given befitting reply if it commits any misadventure: ISPR

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department (ISPR) has warned India that if it commits any misadventure, it will be given a befitting reply.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the ISPR in a statement expressed deep concern over the provocative and ignorant statements coming from the highest levels of the Indian security establishment, saying that the irresponsible statements indicate a new attempt to fabricate arbitrary pretexts for aggression.

It said for decades, India has been instigating violence and committing terrorism in South Asia and beyond. Such statements can have serious consequences for peace and stability in the region, it added.

The ISPR said now the world recognizes India as the real face of cross-border terrorism and the centre of regional instability. It said Indian aggression against Pakistan in May this year had brought the two nuclear powers to the brink of a major war.

The statement said India seems to have forgotten the wreckage of its fighter jets and the anger of Pakistan’s long-range aircraft. India, suffering from collective amnesia, now seems worried about the next round of confrontation, it remarked.

The Pakistan Army’s public relations department said India’s irresponsible statements are a new attempt to fabricate pretexts for aggression. It said India’s face involved in terrorism in the world has been exposed and warned if any adventure is made, a terrible response will be given.

The ISPR said, “Extremely provocative statements by the Indian Defence Minister and the chiefs of the Army and Air Force have come to light, in view of the Indian statements, we give a clear warning that a future conflict can lead to extremely disastrous consequences, if a new era of war begins, Pakistan will not be left behind, we will respond with full force and firm determination without any hesitation or restraint.”

It said those trying to establish a new normal should know that Pakistan has established a new normal of response. This new normal, it added, will be swift, decisive and destructive.

It said in response to aggression, the people and forces of Pakistan are capable of fighting to every corner and edge.

The ISPR said, “This time we will target the most remote parts of Indian territory. As far as erasing Pakistan from the map is concerned, India should know that the erasure will be two-sided. India has perhaps forgotten the devastation caused by Pakistan’s long-range weapons.”
