Massive search operation continues for 5th day in IIOJK’s Rajouri-Poonch sector

Jammu: Indian forces’ personnel have continued a massive cordon and search operation for the fifth consecutive day today in the upper reaches of the Rajouri-Poonch sector of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation was launched late Tuesday evening following an attack on a camp in the Kandi area of Rajouri that left five personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG) injured.
Although no fresh exchange of fire has been reported, troops from the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and police continue to comb the dense forest areas in Kandi and adjoining localities.
The operation has now been extended to more areas, including the upper reaches of the Pir Panjal mountain range in both Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Indian forces have sealed all entry and exit points of nearby villages, subjecting residents to house-to-house searches amid heavy troop deployment and constant drone surveillance.
