Akhilesh Yadav calls Yogi an ‘infiltrator’, urges return to Uttarakhand
SP chief says BJP spreading fake statistics, calls CM an ‘ideological outsider’

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has described Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as an “infiltrator” and said he should be sent back to Uttarakhand, questioning the BJP’s narrative on infiltration and migration.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Yadav made the remarks while speaking to reporters at Lohia Park in Lucknow, during the death anniversary of socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia.
“The BJP keeps giving fake statistics about migration and infiltration. But if one is to believe their figures, they themselves would get lost,” he said. “People talking about exodus should look around — we also have infiltrators in UP. The chief minister himself is from Uttarakhand and should be sent back there. He is not just a geographical infiltrator but an ideological one too,” Yadav added.
The SP leader alleged that Yogi Adityanath was never a BJP member initially but belonged to another organization, questioning, “When will these ideological infiltrators be removed?”
Yadav’s comments came days after Indian Home Minister Amit Shah accused some opposition parties of treating infiltrators as a vote bank and claimed infiltration was not taking place along Gujarat and Rajasthan borders.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, when asked about Yadav’s remarks, told media that he would respond to the issue soon.
