Kashmiris will never accept India’s occupation: APHC

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that despite brutal Indian repression, the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue their just struggle for freedom and are rendering unmatched sacrifices for their inalienable right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar following a meeting of APHC leaders, reiterated their firm resolve to never accept India’s forcible occupation of their motherland and to resist its military aggression at all costs.

The leaders said that the entire world is now aware that India wants to delay the settlement of the Kashmir dispute to alter the Muslim-majority character of the territory. However, they affirmed that the freedom-loving people of Kashmir will foil all such conspiracies and nefarious designs of the RSS-backed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime.

The meeting maintained that the Kashmiri people will never compromise on their right to self-determination, emphasizing that every individual’s role is crucial in the ongoing struggle to liberate occupied Jammu and Kashmir from Indian clutches. The leaders recalled that October 27, 1947, was the darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir when Indian troops illegally landed in the territory against the will of its people.

They urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take concrete steps to stop Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and ensure a just settlement of the lingering dispute in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
