Indian forces arrest Kashmiri teenage boys for pro-freedom posts

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) along with Indian paramilitary personnel have arrested two teenage boys in Srinagar for expressing pro-freedom views on social media.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the CIK personnel during coordinated house raids in Khawajabagh, Maloora, and Nowgam areas of the city arrested 17-year-old Hashim Mashood Lone and 15-year-old Muhammad Hazik Ahanger. The boys were subjected to interrogation and intimidation, with Indian officials threatening them to refrain from sharing freedom-related content and videos highlighting the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

The authorities also seized their mobile phones during the operation, further curbing the already shrinking space for free expression in the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, an unidentified male body was recovered under mysterious circumstances in the Ramgarh area of Samba district.
