IIOJK Congress launches new campaign to highlight statehood issue

Srinagar:: The Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has launched a new campaign titled “Har Ghar Dastak”, aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of statehood for the territory and the rights associated with it.

According to Kashmir Media Service, announcing the campaign, IIOJK Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra said, “Our state is our right. To take this forward, we have started a new program called Har Ghar Dastak”.

In a pamphlet, available in both Kashmiri and Urdu, the Congress party has outlined in simple terms the rights and privileges that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir would regain if the statehood was restored as well as what they currently lack without it.

Karra confirmed that the pamphlets will be widely distributed across the Kashmir Valley over the coming week. “We will ensure that copies reach every corner of the Kashmir Valley so that the people can fully understand the message we are trying to convey,” he added.

The IIOJK Congress chief also touched on the ongoing political developments in Bihar, pointing out that “the entire country is now aware of the issue of vote theft.”

Karra further said that the Congress would not join the cabinet until full statehood is restored to occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
