Indian ITBP soldier commits suicide after killing father
Patna: An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldier, Vikas Kumar, shot dead his father, Uday Shankar, before committing suicide at their home in Chetan Tola under Barhiya police station area in Lakhisarai, Indian state of Bihar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Vikas Kumar, recently posted on election duty in Chapra, had returned home on leave.
He had an argument with his wife, during which he retrieved a pistol. When his father tried to intervene, Vikas fired three rounds, killing him. He then shot himself.
Police recovered the weapon, sealed the house, and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
