Kashmiri Pandit gifts five-marla plot to journalist who was victim of Indian oppression
Authorities have demolished Arfaz Ahmed's house for revealing IIOJK's true picture
Jammu: While there are feelings of compassion, love, brotherhood, selflessness and sacrifice among the people in the world, there are also vile traits like hatred, grudge, prejudice, enmity and malice.
According to Kashmir Media Service, due to mutual hatred, communal prejudice and hatred, the society becomes a victim of misery and unrest, while feelings of cooperation, solidarity and sacrifice erase sorrow and create happiness everywhere.
An exemplary act of compassion and sacrifice took place yesterday in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir where a Kashmiri Pandit gifted his five marla land to Kashmiri journalist Arfaz Ahmed, whose house was recently demolished by the Indian administration for exposing the true picture of the region to the world.
This great act of communal harmony and brotherhood by a Pandit, Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, is being widely appreciated. His unparalleled human spirit has spread a wave of joy and happiness among the affected journalist Arfaz Ahmed, his elderly parents and siblings.
A video of this act of sacrifice and cooperation has also gone viral in which Kuldeep Kumar along with his daughter Tania Sharma can be seen handing over the land papers to the journalist and Arfaz receiving the papers with teary eyes.
Kuldeep can also be heard saying in the video, “They have demolished his three-marla house, we have given him five marlas, and if they had demolished his ten-marla house, we would have given him twenty marlas.”
Tania Sharma on this occasion said she views her father’s move with great pride, I do not have the words to express my feelings. The Pandit family says that they were extremely saddened to see Arfaz’s forty-year-old house demolished by the administration, so they decided to give him the land as a matter of humanity.
Arfaz Ahmed runs a news portal in Jammu. He was also arrested by the Indian police in 2022 for reporting on protests against the ongoing demolition campaign in the occupied territory.
Now his house was also demolished by the administration under the Lieutenant Governor imposed by New Delhi for bringing the ongoing Indian oppression in the region to the world.
