Mirwaiz welcomes HC verdict reinstating sacked bank officer
Demands justice for other affected employees of IIOJK
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has welcomed the High Court verdict ordering the reinstatement of a Bank officer, who was dismissed from service without proper investigation and action on charges of so-called anti-India activities.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz in a statement on social media platform “X” said the High Court’s decision to reinstate the Bank officer, who was unfairly dismissed from service without proper investigation for alleged ‘anti-India’ activities, is welcome.
Since August 2019, dozens of employees in occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been arbitrarily dismissed from their jobs on the basis of similar allegations, without any departmental inquiry or opportunity to defend themselves.
Mirwaiz said all these individuals have the right to due process, fair hearing and access to justice and it is hoped that the decision would pave the way for justice in other similar cases as well.
