Four persons killed, three others injured in IIOJK mishaps
Srinagar: Four persons were killed and several others injured in two different road accidents in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, three persons, identified as Rakesh Kumar, Jeevan and Vicky, were killed after a car, carrying a Baarat, skidded off the Bani–Bhandar road and plunged into a deep gorge in Kathua district.
The vehicle, with five people onboard, met with the accident under mysterious circumstances. Two others, aged between 22 and 23, sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment, the traffic police official said.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident.
In another road accident, a Special Operation Group (SOG) man, identified as Shalu Ram Bali, died after his scooty collided with a motorcycle in the Serwad area of Katra in Kathua district.
Another individual, involved in the collision, sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, officials said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further details are awaited.
