Indian police arrest three Kashmiris in Shopian, shifted to Jammu jail

Srinagar: Indian police have arrested three Kashmiris from Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the detainees have been identified as Owais Ahmad Lone of Sedow, Mashooq Ahmad Shah of Shahlatoo, and Sabzar Ahmad Gani of Check Choland, all residents of Shopian district. They have been arrested under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
Indian authorities alleged that the detainees have been repeatedly involved in activities prejudicial to the security of India. However, Kashmir watchers argue that such detentions under various pretexts are part of a broader strategy by Indian forces to intimidated Kashmiris into submission. Presently, over 4,000 Kashmiris are incarcerated in various Indian jails under similar circumstances.
