Mirwaiz mourns untimely demise of social activist Gowhar Sofi in Srinagar
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of Gowhar Ahmad Sofi, a young and respected social activist from the Kawdara area of Srinagar. Sofi tragically passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz visited the residence of the deceased in Kawdara today to offer his condolences to the grieving family.
While paying tribute, the Mirwaiz remembered Gowhar Sofi as a helping and compassionate individual who was always at the forefront in assisting people in need. He had a close association with the Mirwaiz family and maintained a deep spiritual attachment with the pulpit and sanctity of the historic Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, the Mirwaiz said.
He prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family and sought forgiveness and eternal peace of the departed soul.
