Kashmiris’ struggle to persist until rights recognized: Ali Raza Syed

Brussels: The struggle for self-determination will continue until Kashmiris’ rights are recognized, said Ali Raza Syed, Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), at a webinar titled “5th January: Kashmir, the United Nations, and the Demands of Justice”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, experts urged the international community to pressure India to halt human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and hold a UN-supervised plebiscite, condemning India’s actions as violating international law and human rights principles.
Speakers highlighted the dire situation in IIOJK, including restrictions on gatherings, communication, and enforced disappearances, demanding the international community act to prevent human rights violations and resolve the Kashmir issue peacefully.
The event featured prominent figures, including Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood Joshi, President of World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance Europe, and European intellectuals Andre Barcs and Mikulas Krivanszky, all stressing the need for a peaceful resolution respecting Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
