Debate over discriminatory policies against Muslims, other minorities in India again intensifies
New Delh: The debate over systematic oppression and discriminatory policies against Muslims and other minorities in India has once again intensified.
According to Kashmir Media Service, renowned Indian actor and director Prakash Raj has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP and RSS, saying that in the present era, state institutions have become subordinate to the Hindutva agenda.
According to Prakash Raj, actions are being taken against Muslims, tribals and other minorities in India under a systematic agenda, which is leading the society towards severe division.
Justice is not being delayed in the country but denied and common citizens are afraid of the police and state institutions.
The actor said illegal and oppressive behaviour has distanced the police from the people, while he called the RSS a big threat to India.
Prakash Raj said the hoisting of the flag in the presence of Prime Minister Modi at the Ram Temple is a clear example of the nexus between BJP and RSS.
Political observers and experts say that BJP and RSS are under accusations of constitutional changes and weakening democratic values.
After Modi came to power, questions are being raised on Indian democracy and concerns about minority rights in the country are growing.
