Islamabad: India’s stubbornness is the stumbling block in the way of resolving the Kashmir dispute
According to Kashmir Media Service, Kashmir has been bleeding for 78 years due to Indian obduracy and jingoism.
India’s rigid and unrealistic approach has turned Kashmir into a nuclear flash point. Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is an example of a brutal occupation where international laws have been flouted for decades.
India is forcibly denying Kashmiris to exercise their universally recognized right to self-determination as the Modi regime’s militaristic policy is imperiling peace and stability in South Asia.
The world community has a responsibility towards helping resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people so that durable peace could be established in South Asia.
India must be clearly told to fulfill its pledges made before the UN to resolve the Kashmir dispute and it must be pressured to take serious and solid steps for permanent settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
