Congress slams Indian PM’s ‘moral cowardice’ of Israel visit
'War launched by two of Modi's good friends', says Ramesh

New Delhi: The Congress party has strongly condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel, saying it was “shameful” and displayed “moral cowardice” as it coincided with a major military offensive launched by Israel and the US against Iran.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote on X: “Two days after Mr. Modi celebrated his visit to Israel, while Israel and the US have begun their joint assault on Iran”.
Ramesh slammed Modi’s visit, saying it was “even more shameful in light of the war that has been launched by two of Mr. Modi’s ‘good friends’.” He accused Modi of abandoning Palestinians and forgetting India’s historical recognition of Palestine.
The Congress leader recalled Modi’s declaration that India stood with Israel during his visit, saying it was an award for moral cowardice. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Trump have warned Iranians of further attacks, urging them to take over their government.
The development has sparked sharp criticism of Modi’s foreign policy, with observers questioning India’s stance on regional conflicts and its relations with Iran and the Muslim world.
