Mirwaiz appeals for prayers for Muslim Ummah in last ten days of Ramadan

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressed a sermon at Masjid-e-Qadim, Lal Bazar, Srinagar, on the occasion of the blessed ten days of Ramadan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while highlighting the spiritual importance of the final days of Ramadan, said these days are reserved for seeking forgiveness from Allah Almighty, asking Him, increasing prayers and engaging in deep spiritual contemplation.

He urged the believers to strengthen their relationship with Allah Almighty through sincere prayers, repentance, seeking forgiveness and remembrance of Allah.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq clarified that the Muslim Ummah, especially in the Middle East, is currently going through a difficult and trying period and appealed to the people to turn to Allah Almighty with humility and sincerity and pray for peace, comfort and ease for those facing hardships and suffering.

Emphasizing the importance of prayer, he said these blessed days of Ramadan are such in which the believers should collectively pray for the well-being, unity and restoration of the dignity of the Muslim Ummah and seek Allah Almighty’s mercy and forgiveness.
