Pay pending wages or face agitation, protesting employees warn IIOJK regime

Srinagar: Temporary employees of the Horticulture Department in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district staged a protest in Handwara, demanding immediate release of their pending wages.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the employees, who have not been paid for six months, expressed strong resentment and financial hardship.

“We have families to support and the continuous delay in wages has put us under immense financial stress,” one protester said. “The officials have taken us for a ride, forcing us to protest,” another added.

The employees warned authorities to clear their wages before Eid Ul Fitr or else be ready to face forceful agitation.
